What Speaking at FBC Looks Like

We keep it simple and low-pressure!

  • One guest expert per month, usually during the last week or two of the month on Wednesday at 11am CT
  • Casual format: a live Q&A or short presentation followed by member questions. No fancy slide deck required (though you’re welcome to bring one!). Questions are collected & sent over ahead of time for Q&As!
  • 60 minutes on Zoom
  • 15+ live attendees on our weekly calls, plus replays that live inside our community for members to revisit anytime

Our members aren’t passive viewers, they’re established food bloggers actively building their businesses, which means they ask great questions & actually use what you teach!

Guest Expert Topics

We welcome anyone to apply, but we’re currently most interested in experts who can speak to:

  • Facebook for food bloggers: Organic growth strategies, engagement, tools, etc.
  • Affiliate marketing: Finding the right programs, integrating affiliate content naturally, growing affiliate income as a food blogger.
  • Analytics: GA4, GSC, Microsoft Clarity, etc. Understanding what the numbers actually mean & making data-driven decisions specific to food bloggers.
  • Multi-6 & 7-figure food bloggers: how you run your business, diversify your traffic & revenue, and structure your time.

Have expertise in something else you think would benefit our members? Tell us about it in your application! We’re open to ideas that genuinely help food bloggers grow 😊

What We Look for in Guest Speakers

We’ll be upfront: our reputation and the trust we have within our community is strong, so we’re selective about who our guests are.

Here’s what we look for:

  • You lead with value. Your session should teach something members can act on right away. If members walk away with clear next steps, you’ve nailed it!
  • No hard selling. You’re welcome to mention relevant products/services and where people can find you, but we don’t tolerate aggressive sales pitches. We believe that genuinely wanting to help people & providing value are better than sales pitches.
  • You know your stuff. We want experts with real results, not recycled advice. The more real-life examples and data you can share from your own work, the better!
  • You align with our values. Honesty, camaraderie, and community over competition. If that sounds like you, we’ll get along great!

Why Speak at FBC?

  • A warm, engaged audience: Our members show up, ask questions, and follow through. You’ll be talking to people who genuinely want to hear from you!
  • Genuine connections: Many of our past guests have built lasting relationships (and yes, gained clients and followers) simply by showing up and being helpful.
  • Long-term visibility: Your session replay lives in our community, so members continue discovering you long after the live call.
  • Content for your own channels: You’ll receive the full replay recording to pull clips from for your own marketing. (One ask: please keep our members private. Clips featuring you, me (Kayla), or Chris are totally fair game!)
  • Social media exposure: We sometimes share clips from guest sessions on our Instagram @foodblogcoach, and we’ll tag you whenever we do!
  • Our endorsement: When we bring you in, we’re telling our members we trust you, and that carries a lot of weight.

What Past Guests Say

“I’ve spoken to a handful of groups, and the Food Blog Coaching group is by far my favorite! The questions were thoughtful, the engagement was top-notch, and I could tell these were people who actually show up and do the work. The members are established enough to ask the hard questions yet still willing to learn, which is the ideal combination for a speaker. I’d recommend it to any expert who wants a room that’s full of genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn!”

“I really enjoyed presenting to the food blog coaching community. The session felt well-organized and purposeful from the start, and the group was friendly, engaged, and clearly motivated. I could tell from the thoughtful questions submitted beforehand that they were eager to get as much value as possible, and the discussion throughout the session made it feel very conversational. It was really rewarding to share practical YouTube tips they could start implementing straight away and tailor my advice to their specific blogging goals. I’d definitely recommend it to other experts who want to share useful advice with a focused, action-taking community.”

So if you’re feeling stuck, try this exercise to get started:

Ask this in a brainstorm with yourself, a friend, or LLM → “What are common beliefs or pain points people have when it comes to [YOUR NICHE]?”

Pick 1 or 2 that stand out to you…things that you have stories about or opinions on.

Create content around those ideas!
